Felipe is a recent graduate of the New Writers Project at UT Austin, where he pursued an MFA in fiction. At UT, Felipe taught an introductory fiction course after instructing several semesters of American Literature as a teaching assistant, sharing his passion for lifelong learning and the humanities with undergraduates.
Hailing from Brazil by way of Florida, Felipe graduated from the University of Chicago in 2019, double-majoring in History and Creative Writing.
Outside of tutoring, Felipe is an avid reader and writer, at work on a novel and a collection of stories developed from his graduate thesis. He volunteers with Pen City Writers, corresponding with incarcerated writers, and his interests include cooking and hiking. Felipe passionately supports the sports teams Arsenal and Flamengo.
