Dinesh is a current undergraduate student at the University of Texas at Austin pursuing a BS in Economics Honors and a BS in Computational Biology. On campus, he’s involved with hosting tournaments for thousands of middle and high school students with ATX Science Olympiad and evaluating charities in an investment portfolio worth over $150k with the USIT Foundation. He’s also active in the research scene at UT Austin with a current research assistant position in the UT Austin research team involved with the nationwide EPINET research project and a previous position in a population genetics research lab at Dell Medical School.
Post-graduation, Dinesh is interested in working in management consulting, with a focus on biotech and medtech application within healthcare, before transitioning into either a PhD or an MD/PhD. With research interests lying at the intersection of microeconomic theory and genetics, he hopes to contribute to the realization of theoretical cures and biotechnology within the real world.
In his free time, Dinesh loves to read fantasy novels and memoirs. His favorite animal is the Giant Panda and his childhood dream job is to be a Panda Nanny. His current random topic of interest is sound design in movies.
